OLITREVA Mid Term meeting

Bethlehem, Feb 23, 2013:- In the Farm work of the Mid Term Meeting of the OLITREVA project,  which was held in in Rende, Italy on January, 28 2013, the OLITREVA project partners discussed the Challenges, opportunities and potential of future research on OMW treatment and valorisation in Palestine. Moreover two experts from Italy were invited to share their experience and to exploit the positive complementarities of the project consortium and enrich the discussion.

OLITREVA project partners meeting was organized by the Institute on Membrane Technology (ITM-CNR), with representatives from the project partners: the Applied Research Institute-Jerusalem (ARIJ), Verein zur Förderung des Technologietransfers an der Hochschule Bremerhaven e. V (ttz) and Universidad de Extremadura (UEX)


OLITREVA project Mid Term Meeting 

OLITREVA Project -Capacity Building for Sustainable Treatment and Valorization of Olive Mill Waste -OMWTV- in Palestine- focus on strengthening local RTD capacity in the oPt through augmenting ARIJ capacity and to build up local Since & Technology capabilities. This project also mobilizes towards fostering the participation of Palestinian research centers in international projects by increasing awareness about available cooperation instruments for promoting of the R&D with developing countries mainly ones that fall within the European Framework Programsstine)

Also during the meeting, the Partners pointed out the gaps in knowledge and the opportunities to overcome them through improving synergies between research performers at national and international level and building local RTD capacities by means of networking and development of cooperation activities. Along the same lines, the consortium highlighted the importance of undertaking strategic actions to boost young researchers’ carriers working in the field of OMW treatment and valorization.
